Retrieval Policy
Our goal is to safely reunite you with your property while balancing
security and convenience. Because anyone can view lost items online,
you must pass a verification gauntlet to claim yours. You must
provide hidden details (like a specific scratch or unique keychain)
or unlock electronic devices in front of us. Finally, you must show
your Student ID, though if you managed to lose that too, a
government photo ID paired with digital proof of enrollment will
suffice. If you cannot come in person, you can authorize a proxy by
emailing us their full name from your student account. They must
show their own ID and take full responsibility for the item.
We have limited space, so your items are on a strict
timeline before heading to the campus auction block. Perishables,
unwashed gym gear, and open liquids are auctioned within 24 hours.
Standard items (textbooks, keys, clothes) are held for 30 days.
High-value items (laptops, phones, wallets, documents) get 60 days.
We do not wipe hard drives or delete data, so the highest bidder
inherits your entire digital life, your unfinished essays, and your
bizarre search history. All auction proceeds fund student
scholarships so thank you for funding someone's education with your
carelessness. We reserve the right to deny any claim, and fraud
violates the Student Code of Conduct, which we will immediately
report to the Dean.
